Vegan Russian Apple Cake
~Vegan Russian Apple Cake/Pie~
5 Cups Soft white wheat (or spelt) flour
1 2/3 Cups Sugar (or more!)
1/2 Cup Tapioca Starch
2/3 Teaspoon Salt
3/4 Can of Coconut Milk
3/4 Cup Coconut Oil
2 Hands full of nuts!
6 Cups Apples, chopped
Instructions:
Place the Flour, Sugar, Salt, Starch, and nuts in a medium sized mixing bowl and mix together, then add the Coconut Oil and Milk, and stir well, until thoroughly combined, lastly add the Apples then give it a last good stir. Pour into an oiled and floured bake dish, and bake at 350F. for about 40 minutes, or until Browning on the edges, and when the Apple pieces look well cooked, and turn kind of "clearish". Then after it cools a little enjoy this delicious Russian dessert! This recipe is best if eaten somewhat warm still, if it cools off too much the oil will harden, and your cake/Pie will not be as fluffy and soft, but don't worry too much if your Cake cools off, just place it back in the oven and warm it up for a few minutes, and serve! Enjoy!
