Godly Trust - Intro to GODSPLAN

Introduction to the GODSPLAN series:
In 2023, God impressed me to research on and write on the "Eight Laws of Health", so I began writing a series of articles and shared them one by one in The Father's Kingdom e-Magazine. I am sharing them here that may be a blessing to a larger audience! Many blessings! ~Kristina

Godly Trust

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my anxieties…”

~Psalm 139:23,24

Stress is a killer. Stress is a destroyer of many families and lives. All over the place people are wanting to be rid of stress; coloring books, yoga, massages, narcotics, social media browsing, etc. each claim to de-stress, relieve, or manage stress, because no one wants to be under the burden of stress. Here is a quote from Mayo Clinic:

Stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. Knowing common stress symptoms can help you manage them. Stress that's not dealt with can lead to many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, obesity and diabetes. (mayoclinic.org)

From this quote we can see that stress can actually be at the root of many health issues! But are there true antidotes to stress? God is the designer of the human body, and in His Book, He gave us antidotes that really work, here is a list that I have tested and proven:

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass…Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.”

~Psalm 37:3-8

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

~Matthew 11:28-30

“I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”

~Philippians 4:11b

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

~Romans 8:28

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” [My Bible study teacher shared that the Hebrew word for “navel” should really be translated as “nerves”!]

~Proverbs 3:5-8

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” [the phrase “Rejoice in the Lord” is used nine times in the Bible!]

~Philippians 4:4

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

~Hebrews 13:5,6

O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.”

~Psalm 107:1

“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.”

~Psalm 103:1-5

God has given built the human body and His entire Universe to operate on ‘design laws’, and trusting in Him is the best antidote to stress, and without true trust in God, all other beneficial health efforts will never have the best results! I encourage each of us to Seek Christ and His Kingdom first (Matthew 6:33) and to trust Him, choosing to not worry and fret about what we shall eat, drink, wear, etc. He has gone before us and will carry us (Deuteronomy 33:27)!

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

~Psalm 139:14

Ps. This is the first part of a series (Lord willing!) sharing eight health practices that comprise the acronym “GODSPLAN”. Godly Trust was the first, I’ll give you a hint for what the second one is! 😉 It’s about something that surrounds this planet and has many gases in it…
